A Pledge for Her

Fems undertook a significant digital project aimed at shedding light on the critical issue of period poverty, while simultaneously inspiring individuals to make a pledge to contribute towards its eradication. The project involved raising awareness through various digital channels and encouraging others to reshare the pledge, symbolizing their commitment to supporting the cause.

For every reshared pledge, Fems generously pledged to donate a pack of sanitary napkins to underprivileged schoolgirls, providing them with essential menstrual hygiene products. The response to the project was overwhelming, as we received an incredible 1000 pledges from individuals who joined hands in the fight against period poverty.

True to our commitment, Fems successfully donated 1000 packs of sanitary napkins to make a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged schoolgirls. These donations were specifically allocated to five rural schools in the Southern Province, where access to menstrual hygiene products is limited.

Understanding the importance of proper disposal practices, Fems went a step further by providing dustbins to these schools. This initiative aimed to promote and instill good disposal habits among the students, ensuring that they have the necessary infrastructure to maintain cleanliness and hygiene during menstruation.

Through this impactful project, Fems not only addressed the immediate needs of underprivileged schoolgirls but also raised awareness on the pervasive issue of period poverty. By engaging the community, we collectively took a step forward in creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for those affected by this challenge.

Fems remains dedicated to championing initiatives that tackle period poverty and elevate the well-being of individuals. We believe that by joining forces and taking concrete actions, we can bring about positive change and empower every individual to lead a dignified and healthy life, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
